Though we have been living in Shankanapura for years, we have not been given any title deeds including property and register for our premises. We have been going to the officers' offices many times. We have submitted all the necessary documents to get the title deed. However, he expressed his displeasure that for the past three years they have been dragging us without giving any clear answer.
After we protested today, the authorities have promised to complete the process of issuing the title deed within six months. The officials warned that if our demands are not fulfilled within the given period, they will have to fight fiercely in the coming days.
Women activist Shivamma, residents Kavita, Suma, Ningamma, Radha, Puttananjamma, Nagaveni, Deepa, Jayamma, and many others including Mahadev, Ningaraju participated in the protest.
