Kollegala: A complaint was registered at Kollegala town station on Friday against Chetan Kumar, who attempted to assault Nagendra, an agricultural officer of the Kollegala agriculture department, in the presence of senior officials.
Agricultural officer Nagendra brought the incident to the notice of senior officers and wrote to them and then lodged a complaint with the police station against Chetan who tried to assault him and threatened his life. The meeting was held in the presence of officials. At the Lokkanahalli Agricultural Contact Center, a discussion was going on about the arrears of agricultural implements from 2021 to 2025. Agriculture Officer Nagendra also participated in the meeting. Chetan Kumar, who was present in the same meeting, raised the issue of Lockanahalli Farmer Contact Center. An angry agricultural official abused Nagendra with unintelligible words. All the incidents that took place were recorded on the office CCTV.

Chetan was also working as an outsourced employee in the Department of Agriculture. He was fired from his job after hearing some allegations against him. Also, a complaint was filed in Hanur police station because this same agriculture officer had made a fuss on Nagendra.
