Kollegala. The indefinite sit-in by Farmers' Welfare Association in the old stable area of Taluk Gundal Reservoir has ended for the fourth day. The protest that was being held to solve many problems including blocking the drainage was abandoned. Sub-Divisional Officer Dinesh Kumar Meena and Tehsildar Basavaraju arrived at the place and said that a meeting of the District Collectors will be called within a fortnight to discuss the development of canal works and the matter of demarcating the village from Tagarpur and making it property to Gopinath. The protest was abandoned as per the promise given to the protestors. In the protest, President Dasaratha, Secretary Ramakrishna Farmers Association President Saraguru Nagaraju Mole Raju, Saraguru Veerbhadra Swamy, Angalli Basavaraju, Hitthaladoddi Nagaraju, farmers leaders Chaluvanahalli. Mallikarjunaswamy, Karnataka Defense Army President Megharaju M. Palaksha, Bhimanagar Basavaraju, Terambally Shivamurthy and others were there.
