Kollegala. The marriage function was performed in the Kuvempu Mantra Mangalya manner on Sunday at the Kanaka Community Hall in the town.

Somashekhar.N, an employee of a company in Bangalore, Ganiganur village, Yalandur taluk, and Shilpa.H.B, an employee of the P. Hosahalli Panchayat library department, Srirangapatna taluk, got married according to the Kuvempu Mantra Mangalya method.

Senior Sahitya Sankanpura Mahadeva of the district taught the Mantramangalya Oath and Marriage Code to the bride. Before that he preached the Preamble of the Constitution of India to all those present along with the bridegroom.
Kuvempu said that the bridegroom should follow 20 points of marriage code.

The marriage was performed in the practical Kuvempu Mantra Mangalya method without considering the scriptures, priests, bells and muhurtas.

The Mantra Mangalya Marriage Code formulated by Kuvempu preaches the wishes of the Preamble of the Constitution beyond caste, caste, religion and tradition superstitions.

The ideas of Buddha, Basava, Ambedkar and Kuvempu are contained in this marriage code, he said.

Mahadeva Shankanapura said that such marriages should be held more often, except for today's expensive weddings and meaningless traditions.

Mangalya, Akshate, flower petals are all found in marriage. As per the wishes of the elders and relatives, the marriage was meaningfully fulfilled within a short time.

The family members of the bride and groom, the masters of Ganiganur village and P. Hosahalli village, Sahithi Sundar Kaliweera, groom's brother Chetan, master Raghu, relatives were present in this wedding function.

This was the first marriage held according to the Kuvempu Mantra Mangalya method in Kollegala environment. The relatives of the bride and groom who had come expressed their hope to conduct a simple wedding like this for their children in the future. Lunch was arranged for everyone.
