Hanur: Mannade Gowda of the village protested by protesting that the drains have not been cleaned and the potholed road has not been filled with soil.

At Azzipur village panchayat center of Hanur taluk, the sewers are full of stench, the school and college students had filed a petition last three months to close the potholes due to the fact that the citizens are not in a state of movement and many people have been injured due to potholes falling on the road.

As the village panchayat development officer was not responding, there was an incident where a citizen of Besatta village put a barbed wire fence at the door of Mannade Gowda village panchayat office and protested.

Mannade Gowda, a resident of Vanyakula Kshatriya barangay of the village, had submitted a request to the village panchayat development officer three months ago to clear the road from the sewage filled with garbage in the village and give priority to cleanliness. Due to the lack of response, the fed-up citizen put a barbed fence on the door of the village panchayat office and protested widely on the social media.
